AML / KYC Policy
This Anti-Money-Laundering (AML) and Know-Your-Customer (KYC) Policy sets out how LegitDress works to prevent its Service from being used for money laundering, terrorist financing, or other illicit activity, and the checks we may apply.
1. Commitment
We are committed to preventing the use of the Service for laundering the proceeds of crime or financing unlawful activity, and to acting in line with applicable anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing standards.
2. Scope
This Policy applies to all users of the Service and to all balance top-ups, payments, and related activity carried out through the Service.
3. Risk-Based Approach
We apply a risk-based approach, concentrating verification and controls on activity that presents a higher risk based on factors such as transaction size, frequency, patterns, and other indicators of potential abuse.
4. Customer Identification (KYC)
Although the Service can generally be used with basic account details, we may request additional identity verification — for example, government-issued identification or confirmation of account ownership — for large, unusual, or higher-risk transactions, or where required to meet legal obligations. We may decline to proceed until satisfactory verification is provided.
5. Source of Funds
Balance top-ups are made in USDT on the TRON network (TRC-20). We may request information about the source of funds and may decline, hold, or return transactions where the source cannot reasonably be established or where activity appears inconsistent with legitimate use.
6. Transaction Monitoring
We monitor activity for indicators of suspicious behaviour, including structuring, unusual patterns, and transactions connected to high-risk or sanctioned parties, and we keep logs of relevant activity to support this monitoring.
7. Sanctions and Prohibited Persons
The Service may not be used by persons or entities subject to applicable sanctions or otherwise prohibited from receiving such services. We may screen for this requirement and refuse service accordingly.
8. Prohibited Use
Using the Service to launder funds, to facilitate fraud or the trade in counterfeit or illegal goods, or to conceal the origin of assets is strictly prohibited and will result in refusal of service and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant authorities.
9. Restrictions and Account Action
Where we identify a breach of this Policy or signs of fraud or other illicit activity, we may delay, refuse, or reverse transactions, freeze or limit a balance, and suspend or close the account concerned.
10. Record Keeping and Cooperation
We retain records relating to accounts and transactions for the period required by applicable law and cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities.
